Went to a comedy show last night as part of the comedy festival. One of the lines on the subject of something sexual: "and I know half of you are thinking that, and the other half are man-hating lesbians!" See. Even the comedians are seeing it. Maybe there's a grain of truth in it after all....
~Kate
P.S. No, I still don't think I"m a man-hater. And the show was really awesome, I'll try and give you the names of the comedians later.

So yesterday I found out what my flatmates had complained to the RA about. Apparently they have lodged a complaint saying that I am a heterophobe. What. The. Fuck.

So, I've not updated this journal recently as we all know that I am STP (Susceptible To Procrastination). My Tab key is on the loose again after finally wearing out the double-sided foam tape I was holding it on with, and I found it stuck to my ass yesterday. The Saga resumes. I am now using the journal to procrastinate on getting my stupidly huge assignment done. I should stop doing that now.

P.S. The day before yesterday I finally paid that overdue payment I blogged about two months ago. I'm actually amazed that I ever do manage to update this journal.

Latest out-of-context quote for your amusement: "...so if you were a horse with no nose..."

PS: Head appears to be okay after a good night's sleep. Sore, but functioning.

So I into my apartment semi-successfully, had issues with the bank not sorting out my payment and so my rent is overdue. Jackie didn't transfer the money into her rent paying account and so didn't manage to pay her rent either, however as this is her fault and not the banks she'll have to pay $150 in fees.
I'm making a lot of typos while writing this, and given that I have just been hit rather hard around the ear with a pool cue I am concerned that I may have done myself some damage. Jackie, who was holding the other end of the pool cue, isn't the slightest bit worried and has wondered off to watch TV after I got up off the floor. Thanks Jackie, I really appreciate your care and concern after you ask me if I'm all right and I say 'no'.
Also, someone is reading the text off their computer out loud next to me. This is very irritating. I am not a happy bunny.

Well, yesterday finally broke the depression that's been bugging me for the past month. Hurrah! I choose to use my emotional fail to excuse my lack of updates. I can do that. So, what have I been doing? Quite a lot, interspersed with bouts of complete uselessness.
I went to Queenstown to see my Grandma a week ago, which was basically a four day long panic attack. I feel as thought I should be vaugely embarrassed that my grandma sets me off in panic attacks, but anyone who's had them knows that they aren't exactly logical. And you haven't met my Grandma. I did have fun at some parts though, Arrowtown has a English style sweet shop which does rather excellent acid drops, and I had a relaxing time panning for gold in the Shotover river while my grandma and dad had a stone skipping competition. Dad won in the end, but knackered his shoulder. That's some determination. Oh, and I did find some gold! -all two specks of it. I will add them to my collection of gold dust.
The main reason behind my uselessness is currently hiding under a chair in the living room. His name's Mitre, and I hauled him out of the engine of a car with the help of my family, two firetrucks, a police car, half a dozen firefighters, a policeman, a crowd of onlookers and eventually the owner of the car. He's a tabby and white kitten, now about 9 weeks old. His assistance in my laziness is not just due to his sleeping habits and adorable habit of pouncing on everything, but also due to the natural flora of a feral kitten. He gave the family campylobacter about a week after we decided to keep him, and I'll hopefully be having my blood tested for heliobacter tomorrow. So my health still is at a low, which makes in two months since I last felt well. No wonder I've been depressed.
Still adding to my stress levels is the fact that school starts on the 21st, and with that me and Jackie move out of home. So, in a week you'll either be spammed with updates, or you'll hear nothing at all from me for the next month. Depends what my flatmates are like.
Oh, and what finally broke my depression was "Nice Weather for Ducks" by Lemon Jelly, combined with the cracktastic Saiyuki cast in CFUD. :D

So I've had exams and then mum had shingles and then dad had a kidney stone and then I had one too and then it got infected and then it was christmas and then I got bitten by a poisonous spider and then it was New Years and then I got bitten again (it's in my bedroom ! D:) and then it's now. White-tail spider is still on the loose, looking for revenge after I turfed it's housemate out. Good news is, I think I'm getting an immunity.
Oh, and finally! ( Productivity! ) :D I drew Haruken, and found Devit on the internet. Drawn for 'halfcocked' aka Devit on CFUD, which is where I spend most of my time these days. I'm thinking of auditioning next councilor app round, but I can't say who for in case someone who reads this is on CFUD, and then you couldn't vote for me. However I feel that my CFUD time is going to shrink rather soon, as I go back to work at the cattery in a few days. 31 cats, two hours. Ohboyoboy.
