So I've had exams and then mum had shingles and then dad had a kidney stone and then I had one too and then it got infected and then it was christmas and then I got bitten by a poisonous spider and then it was New Years and then I got bitten again (it's in my bedroom ! D:) and then it's now. White-tail spider is still on the loose, looking for revenge after I turfed it's housemate out. Good news is, I think I'm getting an immunity.

I drew Haruken, and found Devit on the internet. Drawn for 'halfcocked' aka Devit on CFUD, which is where I spend most of my time these days. I'm thinking of auditioning next councilor app round, but I can't say who for in case someone who reads this is on CFUD, and then you couldn't vote for me.
However I feel that my CFUD time is going to shrink rather soon, as I go back to work at the cattery in a few days. 31 cats, two hours. Ohboyoboy.

Well! I meant to reenter the cyberworld proudly bearing my 07 Ghost Caramelldansen icon, but I am an idiot and ran an update while drawing (I use Ubuntu Linux). This sucessfully wrecked my drawing by turning my picture irriversably into 8 bit colour. Which killed it pretty dead.
However! Return of the Caramelldansen is in progress. Um. When my thumb works. Which isn't very often currently, but I'm hoping that the guys at the probably fictional hand specialist clinic will get back to me soon and we'll see how it goes from there. Until then, I'll (mostly) stick to my pixel work and make some caramelldansen icons.
Oh, the hair is still driving me nuts. And still looks awesome.

Just a quick note to say that I am out of the cast, and attempting to resume normal life. Well, my life. Which is normal to me.
While one-handedly lurking through to internet, I have discovered 07-Ghost, and so to reassure you that my hand is back in almost working order I've drawn you a picture of the main character:
Well, okay. So he's not the main character. But he should be.
I have all the materials necessary for my Mitsuru cosplay! Although nothing's properly finished, and I have a lot of sewing, gluing and playing with foam to do. Pictures probably after I've finished the neck tie.
I'll be getting my hair dyed at the end of the month, so the colour's had more time to settle before the con, which is the 25th-27th of October. We've got the shoes for ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) palmtree101, she's already got the hair and we're on the lookout for the skirt and shirt basics. Shoes still need to be altered. So. That's not actually at all ready yet.
I've managed to convince nexmelody To be our Shadow, but we've taken the easy route and gone for a Maya, so that shouldn't take more than two-three days to make.
I'm worried that our costumes aren't hand-made enough to enter the contest, as they say around 70% handmade and we're using shop bought shoes, shirts and shirts and then modifying them. Does that count? We're making all the accessories though, so that should count for something.
My thumb's starting to ache and I've still got three more lab reports to type up, so I'll say bye for now. :D

I have been so productive recently.

So, as you can see, the only things I've got to work on is The Thing for karanguni, which will probably be PG 13 - R, and Renji Gets Duct Taped, which is NC-17. strawberry_smut, putting the 'porn' back into Procrastination.
Anyone want to play a prompty type game? I'm not sure I have enough watchers to play it properly, but let's give it a go. Anonymice welcome! If you want to, give me a character, genre and element (both the fire/water type and lead/mercury type are acceptable) and I'll do a sketch, at least. If you're new and not sure what I dabble in, there's a list in my user info. Open until I say so.

Phew. I've been a little burnt out recently, but now I've been back on my regular pills for a few days and had 12 hours sleep (Episode 14 of Baccano also helped) I'm feeling much better. I realized today that I hadn't drawn for a fair few days, so I've gotten started on that kinkfest prompt. It's not porny in the slightest (really, I'd only say PG-13 at most, due to blood) but I could add a gratuitous panty shot? I'm not sure if I want to, as it's not really needed. I'm really enjoying having a clear mental image of this, and I'm having great fun drawing Chane's eyes.
So, panties, or no panties?

This picture was the excuse to draw the tattoos. Renji was sorta a vague outline until the last minute, which is why the artwork is perhaps not my best.

Renji's tattoo's are awesome, in a way I hadn't truly experienced until I tried drawing them.
I mean, my sketchbook is just going to be full of Renji's tattoos for the next month. I'll be dating my old artwork and I'll be, oh, that was the week I discovered Renji's tattoos. There'll be tattoos down the margins of my lecture notes.
I need an excuse to draw more of Renji's tattoos. Porn. Porn will do.

Also, tab key is found, but attaching it seems to be another matter. I don't think duct ta - Oh my god, Renji + Duct tape = Renji in shibari bondage! All cadence's fault. Anyway, I don't think my tab key can be fixed with duct tape, in this instance.

Today has been productive art-wise, incredibly wasteful in most other respects. I got to watch the last three episodes of Baccano!, and the resulting icon and art pleased me quite a lot. The icon took half an hour, the picture an hour an a half. It's been a while since I drew something just for me, so it was quite refreshing. I asked my dad why it is that sometimes you can spend a handful of minutes doing something and have it turn out better than something you'd spend hours of work on, and he replied "Because you do it with feeling," which is deeply philosophical and I shall be thinking more about it later.
For now, the ( art! )
Totally worksafe, for a change. :)
